EverydayTrivia is operated by Kube Technologies Inc. ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect and how we use it, on the website and in ChatGPT.

What We Collect

EverydayTrivia collects minimal data to provide and improve the service:

• Email address — only if you voluntarily create an account (magic-link sign-in) or subscribe to reminders. We never sell or share your email.
• Quiz scores and streaks — for guests, stored locally in your browser (localStorage). If you create an account, your scores, streaks, and username are stored on our servers to power the leaderboard and your profile.
• Support messages — what you write in the contact form, and a reply address only if you choose to give one. To stop spam, we keep a one-way hash of the sender's IP address in a counter for up to 48 hours.
• Usage analytics — we may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, quiz completions). No personal data is tracked.

Everyday Trivia in ChatGPT

You can play Everyday Trivia inside ChatGPT. It works without an account or sign-in. When you play there:

• What ChatGPT sends us — the answers you give (letters A–D), how sure you said you were, the category you picked, and the quiz date. ChatGPT also sends anonymized identifiers that OpenAI creates for your account and your conversation (not your name or email), plus standard request data such as an IP address.
• What we do with it — we use your answers only to score the quiz and send the results back to ChatGPT. Nothing you play in ChatGPT is saved: no score, no account, no profile, and it does not appear on the leaderboard.
• Rate limiting — we use the anonymized identifiers (or the IP address when they are missing) only to limit how many requests can be made. We store them as one-way hashes in short-lived counters and delete those counters within 48 hours.
• What we never receive — your ChatGPT conversation, your name, your email address, or your location.
• OpenAI — ChatGPT shows you the results we return. OpenAI's handling of your conversations is covered by OpenAI's privacy policy. You can disconnect Everyday Trivia in your ChatGPT settings at any time.

Cookies

EverydayTrivia uses localStorage (not cookies) to remember your quiz streak and subscription status. If we display ads through Google AdSense, Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Ads never appear in ChatGPT.

Who Receives Data

• Hosting and database providers — the site runs on reputable cloud infrastructure that processes data on our behalf under their own privacy safeguards. They keep standard server logs (such as request time, path, and IP address) for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
• OpenAI — receives the quiz results we return when you play in ChatGPT.
• Google AdSense — may be used to display advertisements on the website. See Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell personal data.

How Long We Keep Data

• Accounts, scores, and streaks — until you ask us to delete your account.
• Reminder subscriptions — until you unsubscribe.
• Support messages — as long as needed to answer and resolve your request.
• Rate-limit counters (ChatGPT requests and the contact form) — deleted within 48 hours. Answers sent from ChatGPT are not stored.

Your Rights

You can unsubscribe from reminder emails at any time using the link in any email we send. To see, correct, or delete your account or data, send a privacy request through our contact form and we'll handle it promptly.

Children's Privacy

EverydayTrivia is a general audience site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
